Rajesh Muzhakunnu
Rajesh Muzhakunnu is a contemporary Indian artist from Muzhakkunnu in Kannur district, Kerala. Known for his expressive paintings and visual storytelling, Rajesh’s artistic journey reflects both creativity and remarkable resilience. From an early age, he developed a strong interest in drawing and painting, eventually pursuing work related to art and design.
In the late 1990s, while working at an advertising agency in Coimbatore, Rajesh’s life took a dramatic turn after a serious road accident that caused severe head injuries and memory loss. The accident interrupted his artistic career for many years. Despite the immense challenges during recovery, the passion for colors and artistic expression remained deeply rooted within him.
With the support of family and friends, Rajesh gradually rebuilt his life and rediscovered his connection to art. Over time, he returned to painting and photography, transforming personal struggles into powerful creative expression. His works often reflect themes of survival, memory, and emotional depth.
Rajesh’s artworks have been exhibited in local galleries and community art spaces in Kerala, including exhibitions that showcase both his earlier works and new creations developed during his artistic revival. Today, Rajesh Muzhakunnu continues to explore painting as a medium of healing and storytelling, inspiring viewers with his dedication to art and perseverance.
